Feed Performance

Overview

The Feed Performance report details your Digester's operational performance over a given time period.

This report can provide operational managers useful feed back on:

  • operational utilization (how many hours per day that the Digester is being used)
  • optimal feed size
  • optimal feeding schedule

Following the data on this report can help to optimize your machine's ability to consume and digest organic waste.

Reporting Options

The drop-down boxes at the top of the screen allow you to control:

  • The time reporting range (defaulting to analyzing the last 30 days)
  • The units of measure  (defaulting to your user account's preferred unit of measure)

Comparison options are available, allowing you to compare:

  • against other Digesters
  • the same Digester over a different period of time


Overall Performance

Overall performance is simply a percentage (0 to 100%) of the average weight processed daily compared against the Operational Capacity of the Digester.

The Physical Capacity of a Digester is the maximum amount of organic waste that a Digester can generally process over a 24-hour period.

The Operational Capacity of a Digester is the maximum amount of organic waste that a Digester can process based on your Location's hours of operations.   For example:    a location may only have business hours that allowthe Digester to be used for 12 hours a day (in which case the Operational Capacity would be half of the Physical Capacity).


Tower Percentages

The Tower Percentages displays a chart showing the percentage of time that the Digester has been in a Tower Green, Tower Yellow, or Tower Red stage.   The graph to the right displays the weight inside of the Digesters.    A well-run Digester should see the weight continually go up-and-down.  The weight will go up when food is added to the Digester and the weight line will go down as the microorganisms inside of the machine breakdown the food waste.    

A well-run machine is displayed below (notice the rapid up-and-down, showing a good Digestion Rate).


Alerts

The Alerts section shows a summary of machine alerts during the time period.   These alerts may affect machine performance (such as the machine being overweight, or have a low water temperature).


Average Hours Utilization Per Day

The Average Hours Utilization Per Day bar chart shows the average number of hours that the Digester was being actively used over the selected Reporting Period.

The ideal bar chart range is Green.   Yellow indicates good (but can be improved).   Red shows room for improvement.

Average Number of Feeds Per Hour

The Average Number of Feeds Per Hour bar chart shows the actual feeding schedule of the Digester over the selected Reporting Period.

The optimal feeding schedule of the Eco Safe Digester ranges: 

  • from once and hour
  • to once ever four hours (0.25 times per hour)

The ideal bar chart range is Green.   Yellow indicates good (but can be improved).   Red shows room for improvement.

Average Feed Weight

The Average Feed Weight bar chart shows the average feed size that was placed into the Digester over the selected Reporting Period.

The ideal bar chart range is Green.   Yellow indicates good (but can be improved).   Red shows room for improvement.
